The state fair won’t just fade into obscurity, as Trump is returning to the National Mall on Independence Day for another rally. He actually started fretting about the crowd size for his July 4 speech while opening the state fair on June 24.
“Your favorite president will be speaking, so please show up,“ Trump said. ”Because if we have two empty seats, you know what’s gonna happen? The fake news is gonna say, ‘He didn’t fill out the arena.’”
The Independence Day event at the capital is also hosted by Freedom 250 and will feature “850,000 fireworks shells launched from 10 sites: Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, 8 Potomac River barges, and West Potomac Park.” Trump shared some more details on Truth Social:
Surely, nothing else embarrassing will happen when Trump delivers a live, nationally televised speech, and then the team behind the Great American State Fair sets off 850,000 fireworks next to a rickety plywood arch!
