Lenovo is expected to announce the 5th-generation Lenovo Y700 gaming tablet next month and the company started teasing the device on Weibo. The teaser was quickly followed by a tip from Digital Chat Station, revealing more details.
The official posters on Weibo confirm an 8.8-inch display with a 3040 x 1904px resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 2640Hz touch sampling rate for faster response during gaming, 800 nits maximum brightness, and 12-bit color depth. This will likely be the same display as last year’s model.
And even though the poster doesn’t say anything about the display technology, it’s probably safe to assume it’s going to be LCD as the Weibo tipster confirmed as much.
Additionally, Digital Chat Station lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and 68W charging as part of the spec sheet. The base memory option offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but beefier 16GB/512GB and even 24GB/1TB options will also be available.
The battery capacity will be 9,000 mAh, which is a significant upgrade over the previous model with 7,600 mAh.
