MISSION CARMEL: Located in the quaint beautiful seaside town of Carmel by the Sea. Carmel is one of the best and most accurately restored Roman Catholic mission churches in the entire missions system. Mission de San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo was founded by Padre Junipero Serra in 1771.
