The University of Southern California had to source a semi-permanent building solution that could meet the stringent building code requirements of Los Angeles, including a Class A Roof, CEQA, and Title 24 requirements. The Lot supplies this university with interim dining facilities.
Chosen as the builder of choice for a temporary commercial kitchen facility, Sprung had roughly 3½ months to take the site from a parking lot to a state of the art dining facility.
Offering an energy-efficient 8″ fiberglass insulation package, Class A Roof assembly and a standing track record of timely deliveries and on-time completions, Sprung’s team not only accomplished this on time and on a budget but was also able to accommodate all the needs and requirements of the University and its hospitality staff.
The Lot is the largest single dining complex at USC. Consisting of seven different dining options and a retail store. Options include popular brands such as Wolfgang Puck Express, Carl’s Jr., ZAO Noodle Bar, and Submarina California Subs. The Lot also has five plasma screens, a contemporary sound system, coffee, desserts, ATMs, and wireless Internet.
