CHICO — Butte College is offering two ServSafe food safety training and certification workshops next month for people who work in food service.
The cost for the course is $120 per person and includes a ServSafe textbook, or the cost is $80 per person without the book.
California Uniform Retail Food Facility Law requires re-testing and re-certification of proficiency in food safety and sanitation every five years. Passing the required test must be completed in order to renew certifications.
The course includes the National Restaurant Association ServSafe exam, as well as ServSafe Essentials, manual, Scranton test sheets and certificate. The training is accepted by the State of California Health Department and fulfills state certification commitment.
Butte College’s Small Business Development Center will hold the workshops Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and the location is 2480 Notre Dame Blvd.
Registration must be completed prior to the workshop date and be paid by credit card only. In order to register, contact Butte College Small Business Development Center at 895-9017 or email email@example.com.
